District Governor (2026–2027)

Born on 20 June 1973 in Babupur village of Senbag, Noakhali, to Alhaj M. A. Rashid and Alhaj Firoza Begum. He now lives permanently in the Agrabad CDA residential area of Chattogram.

He completed his graduation under the University of Chittagong in 1994, began his career at the family firm Messrs Green Enterprises Ltd and later founded Messrs Sultan Shipping Lines. Through Atlantic Shipping Lines, S.S Shipping & Logistics, Business Media Service and Green Traders he has built a respected position in the shipping business across the Chattogram, Mongla and Payra ports.

He joined Lionism in 2002. After serving as Tail Twister, Tamer, Treasurer and Secretary, he was elected Club President for two consecutive years in 2006–2007 and 2007–2008. He went on to serve as Leo Club Advisor, Director, Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, District Co-Chairperson and Governor's Advisor.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the floods he personally distributed food, protective equipment and life-saving medicine to families in distress.

He was elected Second Vice District Governor for 2024–2025 and First Vice District Governor for 2025–2026, and chaired the district's October Service Month in 2025.

He represented Bangladesh at the 106th Lions International Convention 2024 in Melbourne and at the ISAAME Forum in the UAE. He is a life member of the Chittagong Lions Foundation, a Melvin Jones Fellow, and a life member of the Lions Scholarship Trust and the Lions Haemophilia Foundation.

He is married to Ln. Rokeya Hassan Chowdhury; they have three daughters and one son.
